  • To advise clients regarding their rights and entitlements under the Social Security Act and other related welfare legislation
  • To assist clients with the preparation of internal Centrelink reviews
  • To represent clients before external review bodies such as the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
  • To promote an understanding of welfare issues in the broader community and provide a resource for further research into these issues
• Geographical area covered by the Centre: All of the Northern Territory
  Contact times/days for clients: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm (however the Welfare Rights advocate is employed part-time)
